Renovation and deep retrofit of 18th Century three storey stone building on Cloughjordan's main street into a 4 bed family home with office space on ground floor. The building had previously been converted to two apartments on first floor level, with the second floor derelict. Renovation focused on applying energy efficiency measures suitable for stone buildings of this age with an emphasis on natural materials including cork-lime plaster and wood-fibre insulation along with air tightness.
The building, which is heated with an air source heat-pump and integrates a heat recovery ventilation system, achieved a B1 BER.
